fugitive steve is my favorite steve bc he’s been living in his own shadow for YEARS. he woke up to find that history had warped his image into something he couldn’t recognize. they asked him to step into a costume he didn’t fit. everyone expected him to be perfect, to be old-fashioned and rule-bound and conservative and tight-laced, just because the passing of time had lost the person, lost steve rogers, and showcased the Legend. & here is steve, the star cut off of his uniform, his all american clean cut look banished in favor of long hair and a beard, following his heart and his morals as a goddamn outlaw!!! I am all here for that steve, that rebellious, compassionate, petty, three dimensional, flawed steve
