Can we talk about how significant the line “please don’t make me do this” is? It isn’t just anyone saying that. It’s Steve Rogers. Steve Rogers who has never backed down from a fight, never begged anyone for anything in his whole life. That Steve Rogers is pleading for a reprieve. Because while he’s never feared for himself, the idea of having to fight Bucky, of having to hurt him, terrifies him. If that’s not true love I don’t know what is.
