All I’d add is that the number of registered users (currently more like 1.5 million) is FAR lower than the number of unregistered users (who nevertheless place a lot of additional strain on the site), and donation drives take a grand total of about 10 days out of the year (two drives per year) and generate one (1) email per drive.  It’s really not a lot to ask folks to delete the email, close the drive banner, and move on with their lives if they are unable to donate – we absolutely understand many folks can’t afford to or don’t want to, and that’s okay!

you know what’s bullshit? the whole concept of “you gotta be kind to people even if they aren’t kind to you”. because if people don’t respect you, and they don’t appreciate you, then you gotta stand up for yourself. it won’t make you less kind, but it will let everyone know that you value yourself and don’t take any sort of crap from anyone. there’s no need in diminishing your worth to be a good person.

what she says: i’m fine

what she means: captain america has been a huge part of my life and chris evans’s portrayal of one of my favourite characters got me through dark times and introduced me to a same but different incarnation of this character that i love. chris evans has played this character with such dignity and grace and has shown time and again that he understands the core of who steve rogers is; and despite his anxieties about taking it on, he’s grown so much in his time with steve rogers and has come to do his best to exemplify steve’s values on and off-screen. marvel is huge on legacy characters and of course the next captain america will be his own actor & character & person, but chris evans is steve rogers, and the last few years have been such a great & wonderful journey with him.
