If Steve sacrifices his life so Tony can acquire the Soul Stone, then Tony might see Steve in the Soul World after using the gauntlet just like Thanos saw Gamora, right? (At least if my dreaded theory comes to pass.) Because it would be yet another narrative parallel.

Well… if this happens… what if Steve’s soul presents as his pre-serum self? Just as Gamora’s soul was her as a child? Steve was always more than just a super soldier. He’s a good man. With or without the serum. It would be a way to bring Steve’s story full-circle, reminding us that Steve is a hero regardless of what physical strength he might have. That what makes him special didn’t come out of a bottle as Tony bitingly said years ago.

I don’t know if my heart could take Tony meeting skinny Steve though, so I’m just gonna hope that doesn’t happen.
