I think Avengers 4 should be told entirely from the perspective all the Avengers/Guardians who turned to dust as they spend all the intervening time sitting in the Soul Realm waiting to be saved.
And the way that Gamora’s scene there had the one building/structure thing, all they have are these plastic folding chairs that they’re just sitting in for like literal years dealing with each other. So you start out with everyone reacting to being dead. Then you skip ahead and glimpse them all sharing their life stories with each other. Then we skip to petty fighting. Then like musical chairs or other weird games to entertain themselves. Then more fighting. Then weirder activities (like we’ve moved from basic party games to ‘how many avengers can we balance on top of each other’). A couple random cuts of different out of context emotional scenes (e.g. Janet Van Dyne holding Dr. Strange as he cries about how Mantis betrayed his trust. Or T’challa and Vision listening to Groot give a passionate speech about who knows what, and both of them tearing up a little bit.).
And things just get progressively weirder until they’re in the middle of some big elaborate utterly insane situation when suddenly they’re saved (with no explanation– we do not see the real world side of this at all). And the soul world is replaced with a field in Wakanda that has obviously just been the site of an epic battle , Thanos’ body is laying off to the side, all the Avengers who survived are standing around looking like they’ve been through Hell (dirty, scarred, beaten up, kinda depressed, clearly exhausted). While the ones from the soul realm are in the middle of some comical impassioned argument with like… Drax holding Bucky bridal style, T’challa wearing Spiderman’s mask (over the black panther mask), Peter Quill riding the cloak of levitation like a magic carpet, Hope holding Bucky’s detached arm and gesturing with it, Sam Wanda and Groot sitting cross-legged in a circle playing a hand-clapping game. And everyone just stops and stares at each other. Then the credits roll.
